Press Registration

Press interested in covering the Annual Conference should apply in advance. Please read the requirements for Press applications carefully. If your application is missing anything, it may be denied or delayed.

Getting a Press Pass

Qualifications for the press include, but are not limited to:

  • Press access will be limited to general sessions
  • Each person that is attending must fill out the form. Email eautor@naftz.org to request a form.
  • Certain sessions are off the record. Journalists must respect the right to anonymity and not publish comments and sources
  • Audio and video recording of the session and other meeting events is strictly prohibited

We give priority to proposals from journalists who:

  • Work for press outlets capable of reaching large or influential audiences
  • Have a track record of insightful coverage in areas related to NAFTZ

Journalists who fail to comply with these guidelines will forfeit their press credentials and admittance to the event. NAFTZ reserves the right to deny access to any press representative at any time and for any reason to be in best interest of NAFTZ and its members.

Event & Registration Policies

SAVE WHEN YOU BRING YOUR TEAM

Each additional* registrant from the same company attending the in-person event receives a $50 discount (not applicable for Federal Government employees). *The first company representative must have paid the full registration rate to attend in-person, for the second, third, fourth, etc. company representative to be eligible for the in-person discount.

EVENT SUBSTITUTION

Attendees MUST hold an NAFTZ membership for the same number of company guests requesting the member rate. Registration and full payment must be received prior to the LIVE event. All fees must be paid to be granted event entrance. Any transfers of membership must be between current NAFTZ members.

PAYMENT

All early bird attendees must pay by the date of early bird deadline (8/8/24) to receive the discount rate (if not paid by this date the rate increases). All post-early bird rate attendees must pay 2 weeks prior to the event start date (only exception are non-members and those registering on-site who must pay in full at the time of registration). If not paid by this date additional fees apply.

CANCELLATION/REFUNDS

Registration fees are fully refundable for written cancellations received by NAFTZ by August 8, 2024. Cancellations received by the NAFTZ between August 8& August 16, 2023 will receive a 50% credit for their registration fee toward a future 2024 NAFTZ Meeting. Cancellations received after August 16 will be responsible for the full registration fee amount due to the NAFTZ and no meeting credits will be issued.

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES

  • Access to all educational activities Sunday through Wednesday
  • Admission to the Exposition Hall
  • Evening celebrations on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

ONSITE MEALS INCLUDES

  • Continental breakfast Monday through Wednesday
  • Afternoon beverages Monday and Tuesday
  • Lunch Monday through Wednesday
  • Reception food provided at the Sunday Welcome Reception and the evening receptions on Monday and Tuesday

FAMILY, FRIENDS AND GUESTS

Invite your family, friends, and guests! A special guest registration is available for $50 for the Sunday and Monday evening reception. The Tuesday night reception is priced at $100 per guest. Admission to receptions is included in your conference registration fee making those not attending the conference eligible at the guest rate.

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation for event registrations online should be immediate. If you have not received a confirmation within 2 business days after registering, please contact vcartwright@naftz.org Victoria Cartwright, Vice President of Events and Education.

EARN CPE and CCS/CES CREDITS

Attend the NAFTZ Annual Conference and earn credit. NAFTZ will undergo the application process closer to the event to offer CPE and CCS/CES credit. Attendance can be applied towards certification or recertification of your Accredited Zones Specialist (AZS) designation. NAFTZ is currently undergoing the approval process for CCS/CES credit for this event.

*By completing NAFTZ registration, I hereby grant NAFTZ (National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones) the unrestricted right to use my name, contact information, image, likeness, quote(s), or voice that is transcribed, photographed, or recorded at the NAFTZ Annual Conference in Miami, FL September 8-11, 2024 (“Annual Conference”), for any purpose, including use or publication on its website, promotional materials, presentations, press releases, social media tools, sponsorship reference, or any other media. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for such use or publication. I understand that edits may be made prior to such use or publication, and I hereby waive the right to inspect or approve any use or publication wherein my name, image, likeness, quote(s), or voice appears. I hereby release NAFTZ from any and all claims and liability relating to such use or publication of my name, image, likeness, quote(s), or voice. By registering for this event, I agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). PII includes any information that identifies me personally (e.g. name, address, email address, phone number, etc.). NAFTZ will use PII to: (a) enable your event registration/attendee roster; (b) review, evaluate and administer NAFTZ initiatives; (c) market NAFTZ opportunities and sponsorship you may potentially be interested in; NAFTZ may use your PII for so long as NAFTZ remains active in conducting any of the above purposes.

Exhibit

Booth space applications will be accepted closer to event date on a first come first served basis. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to showcase your products and services to more than 400 decision makers in the FTZ industry. By exhibiting, your company can deliver excitement with industry-changing announcements, and more. 

For a regular booth, the one (1) booth registration fee is a $75 savings and for one (1) premium booth attendee registration is offered at a $350 savings, compared to early member registration rates and standard industry booth rates.

The savings are based on the inclusion of one complimentary registration.

Display set-up will begin on Sunday, September 10, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

September 13, 2023,  7am – 11:30am

EXHIBIT TEARDOWN

The dismantling of displays begins at 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2022

Our host event hotel is (4-diamond rated) Sheraton New Orleans Hotel (500
Canal Street, New Orleans, LA, 70130) offering the NAFTZ discount rate of $199/night+tax for single/double occupancy based on availability.

Reservations will be available closer to the event date and must be booked by August 8, 2023, to secure discount rate – based on availability. Be sure to reference NAFTZ Annual Conference & Exposition to receive the discount rate/perks.
