8/16, WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  •  Explore 332 Fact-finding process: Objectives, Outreach, Research, Survey/Questionnaire

The USITC has launched one of the largest studies regarding US FTZs in decades. This critical report will investigate and report on the Operations and Conditions of Competitiveness in US FTZs and similar programs in Canada and Mexico. This study is about half-way through the 14 month process, with key interactions with a wide variety of FTZ stakeholders currently underway.

This webinar will feature research team leaders from the USITC and they will speak on:

· Introductions to the USITC

· 332 Fact-finding process: Objectives, outreach, research, survey/questionnaire

· Request letter and final report: Topics and issues to be addressed in public report

· Q&A

This is an opportunity for NAFTZ members – and nonmembers – to hear directly from the USITC researchers on their work, the kind of information they are gathering and what kind of information to expect in the final report to be released in April 2023.

It’s also an opportunity to ask questions of the team and learn more about the upcoming survey/questionnaire that will be sent to many FTZ users in the coming weeks. This is especially relevant as companies that receive this survey are required by law to complete and submit to the USITC.

This session will be offered in a live format only and will not be recorded.

Featured Speakers:

Fernando Gracia, USITC

Elizabeth (Elli) Nesbitt, USITC

James Grogan, FTI Consulting

Jeff Tafel, NAFTZ
